A first international tea festival will run from November 10-15 in Thai Nguyen Province becoming the first largest event of its kind in the midlands and northern mountain region.

The Organizing Board said that the festival will include major events such as opening/closing ceremonies, an exhibition on Vietnam, its people and Thai Nguyen Province, an international workshop on tea and tea products, and a contest entitled, "Tea Beauty". Support activities will be a street festival, a country food market, traditional games, an international trade and tourism fair, and more.

The international tea festival will offer tea businesses in Thai Nguyen and the rest of Vietnam opportunities to learn from foreign tea companies and seek business ties with them.

 

On the occasion, the Thai Nguyen City People's Committee will launch many events to promote Thai Nguyen's tea such as a tea contest, a golden tea cup and a golden hand cup, which are to affirm that Thai Nguyen is the largest tea producer in Vietnam.
