Mango Bay is an independent resort, established in 2000, inspired by the dream we all have of living on the beach.
Initially a wild spot of secondary forest, with isolated cropping of mangos and coconut, edged by untouched beach, development has sought to add rather than replace, such that guests may enjoy an experience far different to the multitude of cookie-cutter, textbook resorts that cover the region’s coasts.
We don’t forget that the beach is all about fun, comfort, and relaxation; which is why the food is great, the cocktails fresh, the beers cold, the staff a joy; and why cows from the local hamlet wander through, with gently clinking bells.

Rooms
Accommodation at Mango Bay comprises of 40 rooms and bungalows, spread along 700m of beach, and set in 20 hectares of indigenous natural forest and garden, giving a sense of space and seclusion.
All bungalows, are thatched roofed, and have been constructed using natural materials from the island. We do not have any air-conditioning or telephones in any of our bungalows. They have been designed to celebrate nature, peace and quiet.
All our rooms and bungalows are simple yet beautifully decorated. Interiors are furnished with locally-made four-poster beds, wooden furniture, overhead fans and cotton mosquito nets. All have wooden shutters to allow sea breeze & wind to freely flow.
Most rooms have outdoor bathrooms overlooking lush vegetation and hot water is provided through solar sources. Rooms and bungalows also feature free wifi, an energy-free ice box for cool drinks, a safe deposit box, and coffee and tea facilities.
Reef House
A 120sqm private house with catering facilities set on a ridge with spectacular views of the sea, comprising 2 en-suite double bedrooms, with open air bathrooms and an open plan living/dining room.
The Reef House is perfect for a family or group of friends. Breakfast and other meals can be served at the Reef House at an extra charge.
Next to it there is also a stone bungalow at an extra charge, with double bed and en-suite bathroom, that is well situated for extra friends, kids or nanny.
Family Bungalow
One Family bungalow of 65 sqm offering two adjoined bedrooms; one with a Queen Size bed and the other with two singles beds, an enclosed bathroom, and a terrace with sea view.
Plantation Bungalows
Eighteen large well-appointed wooden bungalows (60sqm), with queen size four poster beds, all are en-suite, with open air bathrooms, spacious private terrace with lounge chairs.
Most of them have are directly sea front and some are sea view through natural garden.
Fisherman Bungalows
Three Fisherman bungalows (40 sqm).
They offer a queen size four poster bed and an additional single bed.
All are en-suite with open air bathrooms and a terrace. All three face the sea.
Rammed Earth Bungalows
Eight 35sqm garden view bungalows with walls fashioned from Phu Quoc rammed earth, These are set amongst our gardens and all have terraces and outside bathrooms.
These are the first rammed earth buildings in Vietnam, and pioneer an environmentally sustainable building technique, by using local soil to form walls with a beautiful natural finish.
The Veranda Rooms
Five 30sqm recently re-furbished rooms leading onto a large shaded and wooden Veranda, facing the sea.
Plus one additional 30 Sqm Individual Bungalow secluded in our gardens, offering sea views.
Five of the Veranda rooms offer a Double bed and enclosed bathrooms.
Only one room offers two single beds and an open air bathroom.
Extra beds are not available for these rooms.
